Pet Protect - FAQ

Why should I insure my pet? - Insuring your pet's healthcare makes sense. Vet bills can be unexpected and very expensive, and there is no NHS for pets. It's good value as well - nearly 45% of policyholders make a claim each year, rising to nearly 60% of policyholders with a pet aged over 8 years old.

How quickly can my pet be insured? - Your pet will be put on cover immediately when you have completed all the online details requested and made payment.

How can I pay? - You can pay for your Pet Protect Insurance monthly or annually online by using your credit card. Alternatively, if you would rather pay by direct debit on a monthly or annual basis, they will be happy to arrange this over the phone for you.

Are there any discounts if I insure more than one pet? - A 10% discount is automatically calculated when 3 or more pets are insured at once. If you currently have any pets insured with us, please call them to arrange cover because you may be eligible for a 10% discount.

What is the difference between Plus and Extra cover for my dog? - Both of these policies give lifelong protection for your dog. Extra offers the most extensive cover available, There is NO death benefit with the Plus policy.

What is the difference between Plus and Extra cover for my cat? - Both of these policies give lifelong protection for your cat. Extra offers the most extensive cover available. There is NO death benefit with the Plus policy.

What animals are covered by the Small Animal policy? - Rabbits, chinchillas and guinea-pigs are covered by the Small Animal policy.
