CostOutOfPets
- Pet Insurance
CostOutOfPets
- Overview
- Two
out of every three pets need veterinary attention every
year. Sometimes this involves an operation or a form of
intensive treatment - and with average vet bills of £115,
it really does make sense to insure your pet.
Indeed, even routine operations can be costly, for example
a cat's injuries suffered in a road traffic accident (fractured
jaw and right elbow) costs £750, a dog requiring
spinal surgery costs £800. For many pet owners who
do not have pet healthcare insurance, these routine and
often unexpected operations can prove costly.
- Ownership
of a dog or cat brings huge rewards but also brings many
responsibilities. One of these responsibilities is to
be sure that you are always able to provide the very best
healthcare for your pet. Another is to protect yourself
and your family from the cost of providing this standard
of healthcare, a cost which can be alarmingly high. Fortunately,
you can take care of both commitments by insuring your
pet.
- This
pet insurance is introduced to you by CostOutofPets.co.uk
and provided to you by Thornside Ltd, a leading provider
of pet insurance. As the price comparison tables demonstrate,

CostOutOfPets - Levels of Cover

In addition you would also be covered for third party liability
and legal expenses of up to £1million e.g. if you
pet injured another person and then made a claim against
you.
- Silver
Cover - Silver cover provides the same benefits
as bronze cover, however, up to £2,000 of vets fees
would be covered, and you would also be entitled to make
a claim in respect of Death from either illness of accident;
advertising and reward should you lose your dog or cat;
compensation if your dog or cat is stolen or strays; boarding
kennel fees if you cat is hospitalised; and even holiday
cancellation cover.
- Gold
Cover - Gold cover offers the same features as Silver
Cover, however, the amounts you can claim for are increased.
For example up to £5,000 of vets fees would be covered,
and you would also be entitled to make a claim for up to

cover provides insurance against accidental damage.
All cover levels - All cover levels come complete
with up to 30 days overseas travel cover; a veterinary helpline;

minders helpline. In the event of a claim the vet will be
reimbursed directly, rather than you having to pay the vet
